＊If you request 8 passenger minivan/SUV, additional fee of $10/day will be charged.

Flow of Reservation

0.Important matters regarding the contract before making a reservation

Upon reservation, please read and understand the important matters 1-3. If you agree to them, please click the next button.

3.Enter credit card information and make temporary reservation

※The fee will not be deducted until the reservation is completed, but we will obtain pre-approval.

※Debit cards cannot be used.

4.Receive automatic reply for completed temporary reservation

※Reservation is not completed at this point.

5.Receive Reservation Reply Email

※Reply mail will be delivered within 48 hours.

You may not be receiving the mail because the reply is considered junk mail.

※If the reservation is rejected, please change desired conditions and retry from the reservation page.

6.Withdrawal from the credit card

※Some optional fee will be charged upon lending at the office.

7.Reservation complete

※Please bring the reservation number on the day of the day of the lending.

Normally, confirmation emails will be delivered within 24 hours. Please note that the car may be fully booked during the peak season. If you would like to request a child seat, please enter the number/age in this field. Free shuttle service is only available in Waikiki area. Please specify the time upon making reservation. (Pick-up is available from 9:15 AM to 5:00 PM in 15-minute units) You are only able to pick up a car at our service counter and we do not deliver to the hotel. Waikiki Service Counter is open from 9:00AM to 6:00PM. Departures and returns cannot be done after hours.

Please book with plenty of time because you may not be able to receive our reply mail.

(1)International/Domestic Please check the following YouTube in advance and contact us (808-942-4444) when you arrive at the private exit. After that, please come to the meeting place.

★★7 people or more or customers with a lot of luggage★★

Our shuttle car can accommodate 7 people (1 company driver + 6 customers can ride). There is not much space in the trunk, so if you have a lot of luggage or if you have more than 7 people, please come to the meeting place with your driver's license, passport, and credit card only if you are registered as a driver, including contractors.
Please wait at the private exit. After signing the contract, the driver will pick up your companion by yourself.

※Please note that you may have to wait for a while if it is crowded due to the arrival and return of other customers.
※The staff always confirms the arrival time of the plane. Even if you arrive early, please do not wait in the terminal until the rental contract time and contact us.

(2)Domestic flights (Hawaiian Airlines only)

Please contact our company (808-942-4444) after receiving your luggage through baggage claim. Please take the elevator in the center of the terminal to the parking lot on the 7th floor.

●About drop-off

If the pick-up and return locations are different, a drop-off fee of $40 will be charged additionally.

※If you rent the same car for 3 consecutive days or more, additional fee will not be charged.

※The pick-up/return location will be either the Waikiki office or the Honolulu Airport office.

※You cannot drop off at other places.

1.Cancel Policy

Please be advised that cancellations must be made via email.

We do not accept cancellations over the phone.

You can cancel a reservation by emailing us at info@werentacar.com

If you contact us by 6:00 p.m. 31 days prior to the start date of your reservation: Free of charge

If you contact us by 6:00 PM between 30 and 7 days prior to the start date of your reservation : 10% of the rental fee

If you contact us after 6:00 p.m. of 7 days prior to the reservation start date and 24 hours prior to the time of use: 30% of the rental fee

If you contact us within 24 hours or less before the reservation: 3-day rental fee or full amount if within 3 days

No-show: Full amount of rental fee

If you know you are going to be late, please call to avoid cancellation of your reservation

2.Details of insurance coverage

・About the Insurance

State of HI　Dept. of commerce＆consumer affairs

Motor Vehicle Rental Company License #317582

※The following insurance is included in the rental car package fee

SLI（Supplemental Liability Insurance)

[Collision / Liability Coverage]

Coverage up to $300,000 (Including basic insurance)
Due to low coverage of the basic insurance, SLI is the most commonly included insurance policy

The basic insurance coverage is listed as the following (Hawaii Minimum Requirement for basic insurance)

＊Bodily Injury: $20,000 per person | Total Coverage: $40,000 per accident
＊Property Damage: $10,000 per accident

CDW（Collision Damage Waiver) : (Exempted: $500 / Luxury Vehicle $1000)

Vehicle insurance (car repair insurance), hit-and-run accident damage, self inflicted car damage included
If a new damage is inflicted on the vehicle, the policyholder is responsible for the deductible amount (Exempted: $500/ Luxury Vehicle $1000) + Hawaii state tax

PAI（Personal Accident Insurance)+PEC（Personal Effects Coverage）

Death of a policyholder : $250,000, death of a passenger: $100,000, ER treatment cost: $2500 (covers to 24hours)
The PEC is exclusive to brand new items that were purchased within the rental period with receipts to prove purchase. Coverage up to $750 per person (Total up to $2000)

The insurance policy will not provide coverage for the following cases:

Rental contract violations
Traffic violations
Any items not listed in the policy description

It is required to first contact 911, and obtain an accident report number.

In the case of a flat tire or a dead battery, an additional repair cost and trip expense ($100) will be charged.

If a tow is needed, the towing fee will charged.

A police report is required for all accidents, including any self-inflicted accidents.

3.Authorization $500

We have to put a hold on $500 of your credit for insurance purposes.But,

A)If you don’t get into an accident or get any kind of traffic citation.
B)If there is no damage to the car seats and the car seats are not wet.
C)If you return the car with a full tank of gas.

Then we’ll return your $500 in full.

4.Driver's License

Customers must present a valid, unexpired government-issued driver's license which includes a photograph of the customer.Digital licenses are not accepted. The driver's license must be valid for the entire rental period.
